Bettlejuice

ABOUT

Inspired by the 1988 comedy classic with the same name, this spin on the pre-prohibition cocktail the Last Word is your new go-to Halloween treat.

The base spirit for this drink is Bluecoat American Dry Gin. As you already know, I LOVE Bluecoat Gin. Unlike its London Dry cousin, Bluecoat is made with a unique American citrus blend to offer a more citrus forward spirit that’s perfect for cocktails like this.

What really sets this drink apart is my homemade beet syrup. It provides the perfect balance of earthy and sweet flavors that really compliment the gin.

Carpano Antica Formula, best known as the first red vermouth, adds a lovely layer of herbal notes that help to bring the complexity of this cocktail up a notch.

Lastly, fresh lemon juice is added to brighten the drink up and help round it out to be one of my favorite cocktails yet.

This drink is served in a coupe glass. A dehydrated lime wheel garnish is an optional garnish.
